Thank you for your interest in Saving our Spaces. As you know, the Duchy of Cornwall is withdrawing from Bradninch which means that special areas of community land needs to be saved to secure them for future use. To do this, Bradninch Town Council is purchasing the following areas of land from the Duchy of Cornwall:

  • The Football Field
  • The Bithywinds Allotments site
  • The Charwell Wetlands Nature Reserve

The Duchy of Cornwall has confirmed a total sale price of £26,400.00 which is the cost of the three sites as a whole. This is the minimum target the Council is aiming to achieve through fund raising.

Your support and donations will help reach this target so that all three sites can be secured for a future Bradninch.

The Town Council has set up a secure payment system through GOV.UK in conjunction with Stripe. The GOV.UK platform provides added security, fraud avoidance and transparency.

All donations received are strictly confidential, donation information will not be published unless specifically requested by the donor.

There will be no refunds.

You can donate specifically towards the purchase of the football field, allotment site or nature reserve. Alternatively, you can donate into the ‘general fund’ if you don’t mind which space your donation supports.

Cheques payable to Bradninch Town Council can be sent to the Clerk at Dinneford House, Dinneford Street, Thorverton, Devon, EX5 5NU.

Standing Orders and regular donations are welcomed, the Council’s bank account details can be obtained from the Clerk (see below).

Cash payments will not be accepted.

Funds from the ‘general account’ will be used towards purchase costs and the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of all three sites.

Funds from the football field, allotment site and nature reserve accounts will be used towards purchase costs and the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of the specific sites.

The Council may need to apply for a loan to cover any shortfalls in funding following this campaign.

All donations are received in good faith.

Local Councils are not eligible to claim Gift Aid.

If you have any questions, please contact the Clerk on clerk@bradninch-tc.gov.uk

The Council will publish regular updates on the amount of funding received.

Thank you very much for your donation and for helping to secure our community land for future generations.
